Art and culture

For years, the Rebstock has been home to countless creative artists. Authors, actors, musicians, painters, comedians, entire bands, art students and professors or even the necessary technicians are welcome here.

Art in the Court Room

The paintings in the Hofstube are by Thierry Feuz (*1968). He describes his paintings as a cosmology of nature and an evocation of an ideal landscape. With his intense color palette, the artist manages to skillfully combine abstraction and realism. The paintings of the series "Supernatural" amplify the details of the plant world they depict.

Art in the parlour

Poyas" by Aurélie Mantillet (*1982) hang in the restaurant. The Poyas are a series of works that began in 2013, after she discovered and admired the museum of the "Vieux Pays-d'Enhaut" and its silhouettes in Château-d'Oex. Inspired by the world of fairy tales as well as the idea of combining new elements with tradition, she paints these pictures with ink, which pay tribute to Switzerland and the arts and crafts.
